GITE (Women) Kannur is one of the Government Teacher Training Institutes of Kerala, and is located at Payyambalam ,LIII Ward West of Kannur corporation, one and half km from Kannur city. Payyabalam is an area located along the Arabian Sea to the West. St Anglels Fort and Arakkal Palace, which have witnessed many historical moments, are nearby. This institution is adjacent to the cantonment area which is the headquarters of the Territorial Army. Therefore, this place is active with military camps and barracks.
